Install DeepSeek Harness, then add the themes, skins and plugins you choose by copying a task for your Agent.

Install DeepSeek Harness first

Use this independent path if Harness is not yet on your computer. It ends when the local Harness page opens.

Before you begin
Git, Node.js 24 and Corepack; your Agent checks the installed versions

Open http://127.0.0.1:3080 after startup
First setup
Open Settings → Models and add your model

If Node.js or a system change is needed, your Agent must explain it and ask for permission first.

Your Agent checks the environment, builds the fixed Alpha source and confirms that the local page opens.

Install by number

Once Harness opens locally, choose an item in the gallery or plugin collection. Copy its task, or use the reusable task below with its #NNNN number.

This guide targets 0.1.3-alpha.1 built from the fixed official source. Your Agent checks the installed version and each selected package before making changes.

One task, your chosen number

Replace #NNNN with the number on the item’s card. The Agent will find its package, install it and explain any required configuration.

  1. Choose an item

    It appears in the top-left of each catalog card and detail page, for example #2004.

  2. Tell your Agent the #NNNN

    Replace #NNNN in the task with the item you want checked.

  3. Review the result

    The Agent installs the selected package, checks that it loads and keeps the information needed to remove or restore it.
