Common questions

Before you make a change

Answers about formats, compatibility, evidence, and rollback.

Can this website install a catalog item on my computer?

Copy the installation task from an item or the Top 10 collection and give it to your local Agent. The Agent uses the numbered recipe to install and check the package on your computer. Follow the item’s setup instructions for any account, API key, or local service it needs.

What compatibility baseline do current releases use?

This edition targets DeepSeek Harness 0.1.3-alpha.1 at source commit d347e703908d0406b7a7ef80e3a0e594d86b2215. Build that exact source revision for the Alpha walkthrough. A working Harness installation does not prove that every third-party Plugin or Skin works; follow each item’s current setup and verification results.

Why are source and package evidence separate?

The source commit identifies the code used to build a package. The package digest identifies the file you install. Recording both helps check that the downloaded file matches the reviewed version.

Is a Studio preview proof that a Full Skin works?

A Studio preview helps you design a draft. Before publishing it as an installable Full Skin, build the package and test its appearance, startup, switching, removal, and restoration in the supported Harness version.

Why keep only one @dsh-themes/* package active?

These packages change the same interface colors and styling. The theme manager removes the previous theme before installing the next one and checks the resulting configuration.
